This September will be another incredible opportunity to take your sailing experience to the next level!
Captain Marcus Cholerton-Brown invites you to join him onboard 12 Meter "America II" for two incredible back-to-back events.
The first is the 12 Meter North American Championships. There will be 3 days of racing, Wed to Fri, Sept. 15 to 17. Two races are usually held each day. Depending on wind and weather, races can be held out in the ocean or inside Newport Harbor.
The second event is the 12 Meters Legend Regatta on Saturday, Sept. 18. This will be a gathering of some of the most famous sailors from the America's Cup 12 Meter era.
Marcus is looking to build a great team for these events. The team will experience the thrill of racing and the camaraderie of socializing in Newport, RI. We will race hard every day and hoist a beer afterwards!
There are 6 spots available for these two events. Entry Fee for the Regatta Experience is $1,950 which includes both events. This will cover up to 4 days of events, including all racing over the four days (Sept 15-18) and one additional day of practice on Sunday, Sept 5. You could sign up for one of the spots, but please register soon before they fill up.
Participants are responsible for their own food housing in Newport, RI. Social events offered by the regatta organizers are extra. Details will be known once we arrive in Newport.
This will be an incredible opportunity to race on a piece of sailing history and experience the thrill of competing on a fully crewed racing yacht in a big boat regatta. Guaranteed to get your pulse pumping and your muscles aching. Then spend the evening in beautiful Newport swapping stories over a cold beer. What could be better?
Delivery Experiences
In addition to the racing experiences, Marcus is offering Delivery Experiences. You can participate in the deliveries of America II up to Newport or back. Each delivery will be over 3 days to hopefully permit some incredible sailing along the way (weather dependent). Entry Fee for the Delivery Experience is $350, Participants responsible for their own food and housing.
