Photos - Day 1 "Top of the Baths"

The first day of sailing.  We awoke to a cloudy sky with sheets of rain.  The Caribbean?  Yes it was warm moisture, but wet nonetheless.  In the Caribbean, it usually rains for a few minutes each day.  But then every now and then, it rains with an emphasis on rain.  This was the day.  Those of stout and brave heart motored out first.  Those of exceptional courage raised their sails.  Those of clear direction stopped at Cooper Island.  The rest of us headed straight for Virgin Gorda Yacht Harbor to tie up.

Upon arrival, we were greeted by a clearing sky which allowed us to dry and head to the Top of the Baths for the sunset toast.  "To life!"  And then to the Superbowl and the crafty gamblers who vacuumed our small change out of our pockets.  This was a start.  A shaky, wet and rocky start.  But it is always best to start low and work your way up high.  And to everyone who joined me at the bar of the "Goose" that evening, "Thank you."
