Photos - Day 5 The Great Race & Foxys

Thursday, the sun rose again on a beautiful Caribbean day and our fleet weighed anchor. We motored out the channel at Anegada, turned into the wind and raised the sails.  Then the flagship crossed the fleet from south to north with the American flag flying.  The Great Race to Jost Van Dyke was off.  The catamarans arrived first but were unable to finish at the designated line.  Yellow Bird and Isbabella sailed neck and neck for the whole race finishing within inches of each other.  But first to the bar with a soggy dollar, with a little of pluck and plenty of luck, ended up being the crew from Beyond Our Reality.  This evening at Foxys, the crews gathered one by one, coming off their dinghies and onto the sand beaches.  There was movement in the air and swaying in the crowd.  Another beautiful day, another beautiful night.
