Photos - Day 7 Sailing Home

Saturday, we were sailing back across Sir Francis Drake Channel with the trade winds which have blown for millenniums, powering our boats, buffeting our faces and filling our sails.  Behind lay Willie T's and a night of danger, mischief and celebration.  Ahead lay Road Town, where generations of pirates sought shelter before being chased out by the British authorities.  It would be a half-way point as we began our descent from vacation back to civilization and acceptable society.

The case could be made that our vacation was coming to an end.  But an equal case could be made that our vacation was just beginning.  For 1 week ago today, we were just getting our boats and traveling to the Royal British Virgin Islands Yacht Club for a cocktail party along with the West End Yacht Club.  Ahead lay a week of the unknown, with new faces, new boats, new skippers and endless possibilities, most not even yet imagined.
