USCG Licensed Captains Manhattan Sailing Club is looking for USCG licensed Captains with 6-pack and 100 ton licenses to help run certain sailboats, the clubhouse in the harbor and the launch which brings members to and from the clubhouse. Starting at $18 per hour.
The Manhattan Sailing Club operates the Honorable William Wall in NY Harbor. This vessel is certified for 149 passengers and is moored in the Hudson River. The club uses this vessel for teaching adults how to sail and for starting and finishing club races. This vessel is in operation 5 days per week, Tuesday - Friday evenings from 5 p.m. to close (average 10 p.m.) and on Saturdays from 12 noon to 10 p.m. There is no navigation involved in being the captain of the Honorable William Wall as the vessel is fixed and does not move. Captains responsibilities include helping passengers embark and disembark safely from the floating dock, overseeing the mates and staff to make sure vessel is ship shape and that systems are operating properly.
