Sailors
wanted here! Manhattan Sailing School has grown into the largest sailing
school in the country, teaching more than 70 new adults every weekend during the
season. The Manhattan Sailing Club is one of the largest community sailing
organizations in the country with 750 members and a fleet of more than 30 J/24
sailboats. If you are an accomplished sailor and/or racer, then apply to

Sailing School
Administrator - Help run Manhattan Sailing
School. Sign people up for sailing lessons, send them course materials and
schedule the instructors.
Starting at $15 per hour. 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 10 a.m. to
6 p.m.

Sailing
Club Office -
Person to handle all aspects of Manhattan Sailing Club membership,
includes booking of members to go sailing (May through October), billing of
members and collection of dues (full year), organizing and planning social
events, communicating with members through email.
Starting at $15 per hour. 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to
5 p.m.

Sailing Club Maintenance
Technicians
- Maintenance
Technicians are
needed to help maintain the club fleet of boats. Maintenance
technicians inspect, clean
and repair boats as needed. Starting at $15 per

Sailing School Instructors
- Instructors are
needed at Manhattan Sailing School. The school's
primary mission is to teach adults on J/24 sailboats. More recently, the
school has added a teen program on the J/24s and now also Lasers & Sunfish for
teens and adults and Optimists for kids.

Sailing Club Dock Masters
- Dock Masters needed to
help members access the sailboats, answer phones and
interact with the public. Weekday evenings from 5- dusk and Weekends from 9 a.m. to

Cove Dock Masters - Dock
Masters needed to help run the mega yacht marina. Starting at $15 per hour.

USCG Licensed
Captains - Captains
with USCG 100 ton licenses and 6-pack licenses with sailing endorsements are needed to help run the clubhouse in the harbor, launch which brings members to and from the clubhouse
and 3 incredible sailboats which carry 6 or fewer passengers for hire. Starting at

Mates
- The is the introductory level into the maritime industry. Mates are needed
to assist the captains running the harbor clubhouse and launch. Starting
at $12 per hour. Mates who demonstrate good skill and employment habits
may advance to positions such as Dock Masters, Maintenance, Customer Service and
eventually begin working towards USCG-licenses. Apply

Bar Tenders - Help serve club members drinks
on the super cool floating clubhouse in the harbor. Tuesday through Friday
evenings starting at 5 p.m. sharp (don't miss the boat) and going to 10 or 11
