I'm from Warsaw, Poland.  There is not much water in my area but my father lived near the Baltic Sea in Gdynia.  He was profissional diver and a boat builder.  

When I was spending summers with him, he would always take me on the water.  Mostly this was diving, but boats and sailboats were also involved.

I have a masters degree in political science from Warsaw University.  I moved to New York City 3 years ago.  

In Poland, I worked in PR agency and was helping my mother with her import-export company.
