New Member Regatta

Every summer, the club invites new members down to the club for a special event - the New Member Regatta. This is an enjoyable evening of sailing, a fun party and a great way to meet fellow members. We hope you will participate!
Plus, all new members are invited out to the clubhouse in the harbor free of charge this evening. If you have a significant other, you can send them out to the clubhouse while you sail. Or if you would rather watch than sail, make a launch reservation right away. Only members will be allowed to sail but we encourage friends and family to come out to watch the races.
Schedule of events:
5:30 p.m. - First launch out to Honorable William Wall for spectators.
5:45 - 6:05 p.m. - Sailors arrive at dock
6:00 p.m. - Welcome from the Event Chair
6:10 - 6:15 p.m. - Boats depart the dock
6:30 p.m. - starting cannon from the new clubhouse
7:45 - 8:00 p.m. - return to dock, derig & wash down boats
8:00 - 9:00 p.m. - ride launch out to Honorable William Wall for party
This event is open to all members who joined the club this year and last year.
When you arrive at the docks, you will be assigned a boat which will be skippered by one of the club captains.
This is an informal regatta which will start at the new clubhouse, sail down the harbor as a group and back. There will be no spinnakers, no formal start and no scores. It’s just about having fun, meeting new people and enjoying the thrill of sailing under the skyline of Manhattan.
Party Details: After sailing, we invite all new members to attend the party on the Honorable William Wall in the harbor. It will be cash bar. Friends and family are welcome to join in on the fun. Please RSVP.
