Explanation of Tasks

At the end of each season, the following maintenance should be performed to all engines.  For full information on the engines, please refer to the Yamaha Marine Outboards Service Manual.  Complete a separate form for each engine.

1. Anode - inspect/replace    
2. Propeller - inspect/replace    
3. Bolts & Nuts - inspect/retighten    
4. Greasing points - apply grease    
5. Steering friction adjustment - inspect/tighten    
6. Throttle friction adjustment - inspect/tighten    
7. Fuel line & strainer - inspect, tighten, replace    
8. Spark plug - replace/gap    
9. Start-in-gear protection - inspect/adjust    
10. Rinse cooling system    
11. Idle speed - inspect/adjust    
12. Ignition timing - inspect/adjust    
13. Throttle control link - inspect/adjust    
14. Motor body & cover - inspect/repair
