Dear Member,

Just a quick note to let you know about our flagship and the Annual Dinner.

I am happy to report that at around noon this past Sunday, Miss Manhattan arrived safely at Virgin Gorda in the British Virgin Islands. She completed an 11 day passage from Hampton, VA as part of the West Marine Caribbean 1500 Rally. Pablo Opazo was the organizer of our team and he was assisted by Michael Hanna, Dudley Ryan and Alex Valencia. Skippering our boat was veteran ocean racer Jack Boye. Congratulations to this intrepid crew who will now become the newest members of our Blue Water Society.

The Annual Dinner will be Tuesday, December 7 at Edward Moran Bar & Grill in the World Financial Center. The cost is $35 per person plus a cash bar. Awards will be presented. Please make your reservation soon using the attached form. You can also make a reservation at our club website at www.myc.org.

Several members have requested the ability to pay dues by credit card. This option is now available at our website. More information, plus general goings on at the club are posted on the Notice to Members page.

It was great to see so many members at the cocktail party yesterday evening at Morans. We hope to have at least one club event per month through this winter.
