Annual Photo
Contest
Every year, members take some incredible photos of sailing in the harbor. For the first time this winter, we will gather some of these photos, judge them and present awards to the best.
If you have a great photo from this past season, please submit it to mike@myc.org.
Contest
Rules
1) Photos must
be submitted in digital format and be able to be displayed in a approximately 8
x 10 format.
2) Photos must be taken or sponsored by a club member.
3) Photos must be submitted to the club before Dec. 31.
4) Photos will be displayed on the website for all members to see.
5) Photos should include club sailboats in New York Harbor. If you have great photos which do not include sailing in the harbor, you can still submit these and they will be displayed. However, the judges will select the best photos which include our sailboats in New York Harbor.
6) Five finalist photos will be selected by a panel of members and these photos will be displayed at the cocktail hour before the Annual Dinner.
7) Each member attending the Annual Dinner will be given a ballot to vote for "Picture of the Year."
8) The winning member will receive a $500 credit towards dues for the following season. The winning picture will also be made into a postcard for all members.
9) Two runner-ups will each receive a $250 credit towards club dues.
10) All five finalists will receive a commemorative Polo shirt.
