Membership & Orientation Meetings

To join the club, you must attend a Membership & Orientation Meeting.

We combine the Membership & Orientation into one meeting.  If you are sponsored by a current member, you automatically get into the club.  This meeting provides you with an opportunity to meet some members, ask questions and sign the Membership Agreement.

If you are new to the club and do not know any members, this meeting will also serve as your Membership Interview.

The Membership Committee meets approximately once per week during the season and at other times as necessary during the off-season.

The Membership Committee consists of a group of members who volunteer their time.  At any specific membership committee meeting, 2 committee members will normally be present.

Please see the Membership Committee meeting schedule at right to select the day when you are available to meet with the committee.

The interviews are in a social setting.  During the season, they are held at either the Floating Classroom at North Cove or on the new clubhouse if it is open.

Dress is casual or you may wear clothes straight from work.  Please always arrive promptly.  If you arrive late, you will be invited to reschedule for another meeting.

Meetings usually take 1 to 1 1/2 hours and involve discussions between the committee members and candidates.

At the end of the meeting all candidates review and sign the membership agreement.

Membership & Orientation Meetings:
10 applicants maximum per meeting.  In order to attend a membership committee meeting, you should submit an application at least 24 hours in advance and your name should show up on this list.  If you just show up without being on this list, you will be invited to attend the next meeting.
