Traditionally, Manhattan Sailing Club offered membership to people who wished to use the club fleet of J/24s.  As the club has expanded, several yacht owners, who do not need access to the club J/24 fleet, have suggested a special membership category.

Therefore, beginning in 2005, Manhattan Sailing Club expand membership to offer a Yacht Owner Membership.

The "Yacht Owner Membership" allows people who own yachts to join the club and enjoy the social opportunities offered by our organization.

Yacht Owners will also be allowed to post notices on our website which will hope will offer more crew to owners and more sailing opportunities to regular members.

Yacht Owner Membership does not include access to the club fleet of J/24s.

However, Yacht Owners will be allowed regular access and privileges at the new clubhouse in the harbor.

By inviting private yacht owners to join the club, we hope to increase the strength of our harbor sailing community.  We are looking for Yacht Owners who wish to participate, who will sail together and who will join an annual cruise.

2009 Dues for Yacht Owners will be $490 per year (there is NYS sales tax on dues plus the standard initiation fee when you join).  Included with membership is a free club burgee for your yacht.

The application process is simple.  Just select which membership committee meeting you wish to attend and complete the following on-line application.  Then attend the meeting and if you are accepted as a member, welcome aboard!
